In today’s highly competitive business environment, a well-trained and knowledgeable supervisor is a must.   A skilled supervisor can improve morale, lower turnover, and reduce grievances and litigation.  A skilled supervisor will communicate well and understand how to create an environment that fosters employee engagement and loyalty.

The Supervisor’s Academy covers key supervisory competencies presented once a week over an 11-week period.  This format allows participants time to absorb what they’ve learned and to try out new skills before going on to the next session.

For public sector employees who are interested, the Academy also serves as an entry point to ASU’s Certified Public Manager Program.
